ABOUT ME

I learned how to paint sitting at the feet of my French grandmother. She was a lifelong artist. She taught me that painting starts with seeing, that the artist must learn to look past the surface of a subject and find its truest essence. Because that's where the magic is.

So here I am, decades later, still hearing her voice at every wedding I paint. Every time I begin setting up my easel and considering how I will paint these beautiful newlyweds, she's there reminding me to look not only for the right shapes and colors but also for the magic that glows between these two. The indescribable je ne sais quoi that makes every love perfectly unique.
