We were setting up our table at a very fancy black tie wedding when a man approached. The first thing we noticed was that he was frantic. The second was that he wasn't wearing any pants. He was, however, wearing the top half of a tuxedo, all the way down to the bowtie.
"Is there somewhere I can sit and watch the wedding where nobody can see me?!?!," he pleaded. "I left my pants back at the hotel!!!" Apparently he grabbed his tuxedo bag on the way out the door and didn't realize the pants weren't in it, and now there was no time to go back. The wedding was starting.
After a few minutes we saw him sitting on the balcony above the courtyard where the wedding was happening, strategically set back to be out of sight yet still watch. We chuckled and forgot about it and got to work.
Several hours later we looked up and there he was… on the dance floor!! Still no pants, but decidedly less shy about it. It seems time, music, friends, fun, - and maybe a drink or two? - have a way of making us drop our inhibitions!
